Jerome

Jerome is very smart and witty. He is a very good student and does well academically in school. His favorite subject is General Mechanics. He desires and does well when he receives individual attention from authority figures, such as teachers and parents.

Jerome enjoys playing video games and putting puzzles together. He was the manager for his school basketball and track team. Jerome is described as dependable and helpful. He sometimes needs to be reminded to stay on task and encouraged to interact with others. It may take a while for Jerome to open up and be himself.

Desired Family Profile

Jerome’s future family needs to be understanding and patient of Jerome’s individual needs. Jerome does best in a structured environment with lots of encouragement and nurturing. Jerome will thrive in a home with a low ratio of children or where he is the only child. His family will also need to be consistent and be able to communicate their expectations.

The family will benefit initially from a good support network and be willing to seek supportive services. Jerome needs a family who can provide unconditional love and commitment to him. Jerome has additional siblings who are not part of this adoption, but it is very important to him that he continues some form of contact with them.
