Covenant Kids (CK) believes every child deserves a family. CK also believes that a child’s therapeutic needs can be served effectively within a well-trained foster/adoptive family setting. Foster and Adoptive families have the opportunity to model healthy living patterns, effective communication skills, and loving relationships. They are the true day-to-day experts on the children in their home.

Covenant Kids has a team approach to meeting children’s needs. Foster/Adoptive parents are recognized as a vital part of the Treatment Team – the group of professionals who monitor and care for each child.  A treatment team approach allows for an assessment of the child, which leads to the development of an individual service plan for the child as well. CK has developed numerous programs that utilize professional staff and community resources in order to provide stimulation and treatment. This provides the child with the well-rounded environment he or she desperately needs and deserves.The goals of the Treatment Team are:

• To provide a safe, loving and structured family environment in which children can grow, mature and experience God’s love.
• To provide a positive role model through trained foster parents who exhibit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
• To create a team of Christians (Foster/Adoptive parents and CK staff) who work together in a spirit of cooperation and dedication to meeting the therapeutic needs of the children God brings into our care.
