Travis Jones, LPC

Travis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Dallas Baptist University before completing a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. His career in human services began in rehabilitation services for adults with chronic mental illness prior to entering the field of foster care and adoption. Travis has worked in the area of foster and adoptive family development, as well as matching and facilitating adoptions, for more than 5 years, verifying more than 350 families to provide foster care and adoption in their home during this time.  Travis joined the Covenant Kids team in 2007 and serves as the Development Director for Covenant Kids, directing the agency’s Family Development Program.

Erin Donohoe, LPC-Intern

Erin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies and Psychology from Mississippi College before completing a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduation, Erin worked as a Family Counselor with Youth Villages before taking a job as a caseworker with Child Protective Services in Dallas County. Erin left CPS to work as a grief counselor for children, teens, and their families at The WARM Place in Fort Worth. Erin is also a Licensed Professional Counselor-Intern, and she joined the Covenant Kids team in 2011 as the Family Development Specialist.

Deebra Jennings

Deebra graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Indiana University.  After graduation, Deebra worked for Child Protective Services in Dallas County as a Family Based Safety Service Specialist.  After 3 years of service, Deebra left CPS to work in foster care recruitment and home development for a child placing agency.  Deebra joined the Covenant Kids team in 2012 as a Family Recruitment Specialist.

Jailynn Smiley

Jailynn attended the University of North Texas, where she majored in Radio & TV Broadcasting. Jailynn interned at KKDA (K104FM) Radio in Dallas and was later hired as a News Anchor/Reporter.  After working in broadcasting for a number of years, Jailynn was recruited to work for Child Protective Services in the area of Recruitment.  Jailynn’s skills were put to good use in finding homes for children in need, and she found a passion for working with foster and adoptive families.  Jailynn has worked in the area of foster and adoptive parent recruitment over the past 17 years and joined the Covenant Kids team as a Family Recruitment Specialist in 2010.
